March 2016

We are praising our Father for two ladies who chose to be “washed” a couple of weeks ago. Fanny had told us the week before that she wanted to be “washed.” While Fanny was getting ready, another lady, Carol, was deciding if she would “obey” or “wait.” In the end, our Father led her to obey. Please práy for both of their husbands to believe!

Ezekiel and Isaiah helped color verses to put with Easter cookies Danielle made. It was fun to watch them excitedly giving out these cookies and telling people, “Gôd loves you! Happy Resurrection Day!”

Last Monday, we were returning from Shanghai with Ezekiel’s new passport. After a long day, I did not feel like doing anything but sleeping. For the last leg of our journey, we took a 30-minute taxi ride to our house. I casually talked to the driver, but Ezekiel wanted to know if he was a believer. I proceeded to ask, and, as it turned out, he was not. I began to share the Good News, half expecting him to show no interest or change the subject, as many taxi drivers do. A few minutes later, as I shared my story, I realized that he was still listening carefully. I asked him if he wanted to believe, and he said that he did! As we neared our house, the driver and I práyed together. I was able to give him the “Book” that I was carrying as well. I am thankful that our Father used Ezekiel to encourage me to open my mouth! I am also thankful for our Father’s willingness to use us!

We are very thankful for your giving and práying! Every gift, dollar, and práyer is appreciated and shows us that we are very loved by our Father and by you. Please continue to práy for us and for our Father’s work in China!

Our Father worked in our friend Elihu’s heart, and he chose to be “washed”! Please práy for his growth and knowledge of our Father’s will.

A young man named Samuel has begun dating one of our Chinese coworkers. He plans to move temporarily to another city this week. Please práy for this couple as they seek our Father’s will for their future.

Our friends, Peter and Wendy, were blessed by the arrival of a baby boy! Please práy for these new parents. Also práy for children here, like this one, to be born again and then sent as labourers into our Father’s harvest!

Last Monday evening we began visiting our students’ houses with cookies in hand. Our goal is to visit approximately 68 houses over the coming Mondays. We are hoping that our Father will prepare open doors and hearts, as many of these parents are not believers. Please práy that the right relationships would be built and the Good News be shared!

We have heard reports recently that the religious situation here is a cause for concern for Chinese believers. We believe there is never a reason to “shut up” (Acts 4:20), and that we should práy for our Father’s Word to have “free course and be glorified” (2 Thess. 3:1-2). Práy for boldness and new meetings here.

Finally, please práy for our Father’s will to be done in your life!

Sunday Night - January 2016
Sunday Night – January 2016

This month was busy with our school’s winter camp, special guests from America, and regular meetings. Several visitors have come ready to believe our Friend, and He has done big miracles in the lives and homes of our Chinese friends! Here are a couple of stories from last week:

A Day of Firsts!

On a recent Sunday afternoon, a lady visited our meeting from a nearby city. We asked if she was a believer, and she said her family was. Upon checking further, we discovered she had never even heard the Good News! Danielle shared with her and she chose to believe and be saved! This lady, an English teacher named Joy, later said that trip was her first time to drive on the highway. In one day she had her first highway drive and her first chance to hear the Good News!

Do Your Homework!

Last Sunday, two of the three messages were about Paul’s habit of using his testimony to share the Good News. (Acts 22 and 26) The “homework” I gave was to use our testimonies to share the Good News. On Thursday, our Friend gave a great opportunity to tell a few students a story. The story was about how I believed our Friend. The students listened closely, and I was able to do my homework and share the Good News with them!

Please práy:

  • For those who still need to be “washed”.
  • For weekly meetings.
  • For witnessing opportunities.
  • For our Father to send forth laborers.
